ENFIELD — With some residents waving pompoms and clapping, Republicans on the Town Council approved a 2008-09 budget with no tax increase Wednesday night, keeping the mill rate at 23.88 mills.

The council, in a 7-4 party-line vote, approved a $118,413,981 budget, which shows a 2.4 percent increase over this year’s approximately $115.6 million spending plan. Read more...
