BOF - the "Mal" you refer to must be current BOF member Malcom Leichter, isn't he the bozo with the beard? While Laurine is going to "Bow" out and not seek re-election, the dems have endorsed Karen Strid. This is apparently the same bimbo who led the efforts to add modulars to our schools.

BOE - both Dave King and Dave Burgess are not running for re-election as their terms expire. I don't know either of them personally, but I can understand them not wanting to have to again go through the hassles the BOE has had to deal with in the past few years - with the budget and Collins' issues. They probably know more about the financial settlement Collins took with her, and how much a hit the whole BOE will take when it ultimately gets made public. Will the new endorsed candidates - Stone and Heatherington be able to ask questions, or will they be kept in check by Ms. Dube and Supt. Cruz?

RBOE - Chair Sue Griffiths is the only one not running for re-election, so presumably she is the "PHD Princess" you refer to. I don't know her reasons for no longer serving, but I suspect it might have to do with her family situation - and I wish her the best of luck with everything.
