Townsfolk In The Days I Served On Various Boards/commissions Felt That They were Made 2 feel much More Part Of The process/Honestly Listened 2, Therefore They Participated In The Process 2 a Higher degree.

It seems That Most, if not all Of the Various boards, (Ellie & The HBOE Puppet troupe In Particular) Tend 2 Look & Talk Down 2 The People With Their words & deeds With the attitude Of "We Know Better" When It Has Been shown Time & Time again That That They don't & they would Rather Just Listen 2 the public ( In 1 Ear & Out The Other) & actually Call it "LISTENING"

Best example Of The above Is Ellie & The HBOE relief Band Uriniecing the Taxpayers $$$$ Away On a PR Flack ( Ann Baldwin) & Look Where It got them, Just Lower On the Trust & Credibility Chain It seems

People ARE INTERESTED, But When your constantly "Shined On/Bullshapoopeed By the elected/appointed Mice/Munchkins, It will Dampen Involvement.

In My day, If we EVER PULLED THE SQUAT That they Do Now, We would Be Called Out In More Ways Than 1, 2 Say The least

Item #6 addresses a formation of "a Form of Government Study Committee". YES, they are trying to get the registered voters out of the loop. We currently have a Board of Selectman-Town meeting form of government. With that model, we can vote, attend meetings and voice our opinion etc. I agree, that our last turnout was pathetic. Apparently, this was enough incentive for the "officials" to eliminate us entirely. Notice they plan to put another study group together. With a change they may also get rid of our current Board of Finance .. no loss there, since only one of the past board members signed the Ethics Code, (Yes, those who handle our money in town did not feel obligated to sign our ethics code. WHY have an ethics code when no one is "required" to sign it??"
