Hebron Dollars & Sense

The Douglas Library website has a survey asking residents about the library. The Library is supported in part by our tax dollars, and is one of the few services the town provides that benefits ALL residents. Those of us who remember the library expansion project understand that our town has grown and our residents needs are more diverse than ever, so I applaud the library board for trying to get a better handle on what should be done, if anything, to improve what they offer. It will be interesting to see what the next steps on the survey results will be - it looks like they are laying groundwork to someday ask for more tax money to support longer library hours?

Thanks to the staff for mentioning this to the heavier than usual crowds coming in to warm themselves, charge cell phones, etc.

Yep, our local library, with the meager resources given it by the town, duz a great job 4 us bookworms/ info seekers, kudos 2 the staff in this time of need. We is alive & on holiday( holiday hell) this week, spending time scrounging gas for the generator(so far so good) & eating bar food x 2 days, Italian 4 2 days, found a little place in manchester that has good soft shell tacos on thurs, tommorow, who knows. All of the above has bin Nukable,since I'm still without power. In closing, take care of your neibhorhood as best as you can & by the way, cl&p big wigs suck!!!!
