Our small schools have more clerical staff than the legislators in Hartford ... what do they do during their work schedule?? WHO do they phone for almost $800/month with the land line bill --- CHINA?? Why do those serving on this board give approval for everything and anything without researching an issue?? How many years does it take to get a PhD -- our family has one in "science" and it took only 3.5 years. Guess paying travel expenses to get to classes do not have to be time limited. They can take 20 years to work on their doctorate and get paid for travel each year ($4800*20yrs is quite large).
FIRE ALL OF THEM ... no one has tied them down to our community. If they feel they are underpaid in a community of "great children with supporting-loving parents" they are free to terminate their relationship with the town. Believe me, in this economy we would find replacements quickly. Does anyone else find it interesting that we have a technology director and we still need to go outside the employees in our system to find someone to be a TRAINER for the white boards. Yes, they spent funds on tools they do not even know how to use.
