Our issues are similar to issues in other towns. A friend sent this today and it is pretty interesting. For some reason, local school boards consider their budget requests to be the top priority for community resources. How do we remind them that
OUR MONEY through our State and Federal tax dollars supports
ALL the budgets in town and we all need to work together !!!! The municipal budget, the CIP, our obligation to RHAM and the local HBOE
must and should share resources. The HBOE and current superintendent regard grant money as free money ...
WRONG... all of us pay taxes and these funds are derived from our tax dollar. There is no FREE MONEY - we have all paid our share into grant funds.
