Been out of town and trying to catch up. No minutes available for BOS July 15th meeting yet, and Aug 5th meeting noted to be canceled for vacations. Could someone with knowledge of the July 15th meeting please enlighten us on the cancellation of the bifurcation study group. Is this a rumor or did the BOS indeed cancel looking at bifurcation? It would seem short sighted not to at least study bifurcation given the budget season we just endured and the potential for unlimited referendum still looming during next years budget. I am personally ambivalent about bifurcation, but was looking forward to seeing the research and how the rest of Connecticut deals with these same issues. Re-read the charter revision commission minutes. You will realize that those who kept pushing this issue onto a back-burner are again trying to manipulate this study group through their position(s) on a town board or their association with a town committee. WHY are they afraid of the findings of a "study group"?

This years actions of the BOF have convinced me that the bifurcation of the town and education budget may be the best approach. Everyone remembers when the BOF cut BOTH the town and education budget when everyone knew the BOE budget was the cause of the defeat of the referendum. Voting on these budgets separately will prevent this from happening again.

Should we also remind our "Selectman" that the results of the town sanctioned exit poll showed that most of those voting supported "bifurcation" of the town and education budgets.

Why am Eye Not Surprised by The BULLSHAPOOPY Being Spread By The Ones AFRAID Of Bifircation( Slick Billy with Heels, Doobie & The Hboe Minus 1) & The accompanying Delaying Tactics.
