On a per pupil basis, data from 2008 supplied by Stephen Busemeyer from the Hartford Courant, looks like a very detailed comparison of all towns in the state using census data.

The focus of the report shows CT among the highest spenders nationally yet as a state we are getting a very low share from the feds, compared to other states.

Hebron spends $10,522 per pupil, which is 24% lower than the state average of $13,848. We outperform many other schools in the state and we do it for less money.

It sure looks to me that Hebron is not just on the "bottom 12" list, but we are the very last column - the lowest?

This is a testament to a school system that is working, the dedication of teachers and administration working with the entire community.

At the same time, I am sure the local teacher's union is well aware of these figures, and is looking forward to asking for big raises next time binding arbitration comes around.

I wonder if all towns report their information the same way.

I can't seem to get the link to work, but

Yea you are right most of the money is spent on administration. We spend more money than anyone else and none of it goes to the kids. IT'S A NUMBERS GAME
To bad people can't see through this sham.
When are we going to wake up and hold the administration acountable

Doubtful It would Go To Kids DIRECTLY,(Paras Etc)It would Just Add To The Soviet Republic Of Ellie's Kingdom/Fiefdom & After This Yrs Budgetary Credibility/Accountability FIASCO Perpetuated On the Public, It's The Last thing The Taxpayers Need

GOTTA GO!!
