Just a quick comment...

anyone else notice that the new VP was a no-show at the meeting where they were supposed to introduce her???

Also - another great appointment by our "super" - out of 98 applications, she chooses the woman who still is not certified as an administrator (supposedly she is waiting for the paperwork per Cruz) and has 0 time experience as an administrator...
yet we "need" this person and the position is soooo important - we give it to someone who has never done it!!!

Let's make sure we get rid of those who actually work with the kids and make an impact and get an inexperienced VP.

I cannot believe these people.....

I liked the way there was this whole long discussion about using the "surplus" from the oil and electricity "savings" to pay for this technology contract that is a "really good deal," according to our Curriculum and Tech. Director. The point was, the $21,500 "surplus" would be used during FY 2009/2010 for technology, then the $$ from FY 2010/11 that was supposed to be spent on technology would then be used to retain a non-certified position. You could see it coming a mile away. They approve the technology contract, then it comes time to make a decision on how to use the $21,500 for staff. A board member asks which of the people who have been recently laid off could be brought back for this $21,500. And it's time for the Ellie show. "Well, I would really prefer it if you left it flexible...this could happen and that could happen and I might need to do this..." The response? The usual. "Yes Ellie, of course, Ellie...right away, Ellie." They basically hand her another blank check. How do they keep falling for the same show every time?

Thanks, Townie. We must have been typing at same time. I also started a thread on what happened tonight, so sorry for the duplication of threads.

I also provided a whole lot more information about the entire meeting, the demeanor of some of the board members and administrators, and just a whole bunch of other stuff that really bothered me, and is SOOOOO wrong!

And that ridiculous conversation about whether or not to tell the town about the $31,563 in unexpected transportation reimbursement, even though the town had been shafted on transportation revenue by as much as $70,000? Don't worry about it. All taken care of while the ludicrous discussion ensued....

People being laid off in order to hire a "fantastic candidate for Assistant Vice Principal"... SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH......... please folks, those in attendance try to keep it a secret that she doesn't even meet the qualifications for the job. "It will all be taken care of." Famous last words of other Superintendents that have come and gone...

Just like our tax dollars....come and gone...

Just like our trust... come and gone....

Why should she be any different from our superintendent? No PhD after several years serving as a supt?
