The total count was 705 "yes," and 773 "no." The BOF is meeting right now to determine where to go from here. They may make a decision tonight, or they may call another special meeting. We shall see--several members headed over to the meeting and will report back.

Thanks To all That Voted NO

If They (BOF) Have Not Decided What Next To Cut, I Would Suggest The Following Idea, Used Before, Worked For ADK Defeat

Take The Salary & Benny Number For The Cirriculm Director & CUT IT!

Reinstate C&E Teacher, Etc With The CD's Money

I Would GUARENTEE Budget Pa$$age If That I$ Done

I Support The Town Side Of The Budget, Just Not The BLOATED Administrative Educational Side Of It.

My sources tell me the BOS met last night until 11PM and decided to cut the BOE budget to 0%. If anyone hears of a Special BOE meeting, please post to this forum.

Board of Finance (BOF) sets the budget for both Board of Selectmen (BOS) and Board of Education (BOE). Last night the BOF set a 0% increase for both BOS and BOE following the failed referendum. The BOS has an already scheduled meeting this Thursday check town web site for time place and agenda.

One piece of information shared at the BOF meeting was the tight time line that we are approaching.
June 1 Referendum number 3
June 15 Mil rate set
June 30th If no budget is agreed on at this time we will revert to last years budget temporarily. We need an additional $500,000 increase from last years budget because of RHAM population increase. We will also be incurring added cost of sending out an additional tax bill and attorney fees to guide how all this can take place.
July 1 fiscal year begins
