I need to learn about districts with comparable student population sizes in order to understand better whether we really need the curriculum specialist at a cost of $100k plus. I beleive that is a combined role--the title is Curriculum and Technology Specialist or Director.

I totally agree with Mombert here. There are many other ways to trim the spending in the BOE budget. The fact that they are aggressively pursuing the tactics that would most directly affect the kids is a sign that they are attempting to manipulate the public. By focusing on teacher cuts and the "scary" consequences, I believe they are hoping to manipulate the public into accepting their inflated budget. I don't appreciate being manipulated by the people who have been elected to represent the town
