Issue #25: Even more bad news for Hebron taxpayers. If the current proposed budget of a 1.24 mill rate increase to 29.41 mills passes, this means, on average, your taxes have increased $647.85 since FY 2007-08.
We have calculated the latest data based on the budget presented at the March 4th Board of Selectmen’s meeting. You can also find the “Tax Comparison” spreadsheet on the Documents Tab.
We have been collecting the data since 2002, so the spreadsheet is pretty big, and has multiple tabs. On the first tab, “Overall Avg,” you will want to pay particular attention to Columns H, I, J, and K.
This data will give you a look at last year’s taxes versus this year’s proposed taxes. It will also show you the increase in your taxes over the past FOUR years. For Hebron residents, the average increase in taxes during those four years is $647.85.
The data is by property only; we’ve extracted homeowner names for privacy purposes. You can look up your taxes by finding your address, which is in alphabetical order by street name.
We encourage you to remember that next year’s budget year will be even harder with all the stimulus money built in to this year’s budgets being a thing of the past.
