Mission Statement

To serve as an unbiased, non-partisan advocate for Hebron citizens, dedicated to the accurate gathering and objective reporting of factual financial information. Our goal is to provide information to assist taxpayers in making informed decisions about their community's finances.

Who we are...

We are composed of a diverse group of residents with a wide variety of backgrounds, represent the entire political spectrum and range in residencies from five to over 20 years, with one life-long resident. Several have children who are in, or have been through, the school system; one member was educated in the local and RHAM school systems.

We formed in response to growing taxpayer frustration over getting accurate, unbiased, information at budget time and during referendum, especially during the recent Central Office building project referendum.

We intend to research proposed expenditures and offer "reasonable and sensible alternatives" when they make sense, share findings with town officials and the public.

We are not 'anti-' anything. We believe in healthy town government, good schools and adequately compensated employees at all levels.

We will be implementing the Top Down Formula, our intent is to determine what the town can and cannot afford and not "argue line by line against the various budget requests."

At this point in time we are functioning more as a 'steering committee' than a membership group.
